Tastings & brewery visit

Taste all three where they are brewed

There are three ways to taste our beers at the brewery on the Nieuwmarkt. A tasting flight of four or five beers at the bar from €12,90, no booking needed. A guided tasting with the brewery story, or a private tasting for a group of 6 to 25. Open every day from 12:00.

Opening hours: Every day 12:00 – 00:00

Three ways

Pick the tasting that fits your table

Two of you on a Tuesday, a team of twelve or a whole coach: one of these three fits. All of them start with the three house beers, Witte Antonia, De Blonde Barbier and De Manke Monnik, brewed in the copper kettles beside the bar.

Tasting flight at the bar

Four beers for €12,90 or five for €14,90: the three house beers with one or two guest beers, served with nuts. No booking needed, every day from 12:00, for any size of table.

Up to 10 guests reserve a table online and order the flight at the bar. With 11 or more, plan an event and we set the tasting up for you.

Guided

Guided tasting & brewery visit

From one person, on request

Sixty minutes with the brewery story: the convent that stood here, the copper kettles beside the bar, and the three house beers tasted along the way. Open to everyone, also if you come alone or as a couple.

Public sessions are being scheduled. Until then, send us a message with your date and numbers: we group small parties into the next session and let you know when it is confirmed.

For groups

Private tasting & brewery visit

from €12,90 p.p.

Your own session for 6 to 25 guests, with the brewery story told for your group alone. The tasting: the three house beers and one or two guest beers, with nuts. Add a dinner in De Bierhal or a drinks package and the evening is complete.

Send your date and numbers; you receive a proposal within two working days.

Questions about tastings

How long does a tasting take?

The flight at the bar takes as long as you want it to. A guided tasting with the brewery visit takes about sixty minutes; a private tasting for a group usually the same, longer if you add dinner.

Can two people do a tasting or see the brewery?

Yes. The flight is for any size of table, and the guided session is open from one person. The copper kettles stand beside the bar, so you see the brewery from your seat anyway.

Can children come along?

The beers are for guests of 18 and over. Whether children can join your group during a session depends on the time and the room: tell us when you ask for one and we will say honestly what works.

I have an allergy. What is in the tasting?

Our beers are brewed with barley and wheat malt, so they contain gluten. The flight is served with nuts; say so at the bar if you would rather not have them. Tell us about allergies when you book a session and we take them into account.

Can I give a tasting as a gift?

Gift cards are not available online yet. Ask at the bar: the team will help you with a gift for a tasting or a dinner.

In which language is the tasting?

English or Dutch, whichever your group prefers. Say which when you ask for a session.

We are a group. Do we reserve a table or plan an event?

Up to 10 guests reserve a table online and order the flight at the bar. From 11 guests, plan an event: you get your own session with the brewery story, and a room if you want one.
