Terms for groups and events
How a group booking or private event at De Bekeerde Suster works: option, confirmation, final numbers, cancellation and payment, in plain language.
These terms apply to group bookings and private events at De Bekeerde Suster, Kloveniersburgwal 6-8, Amsterdam: groups of 11 or more, private tastings, dinners, drinks and exclusive hire. A table for up to 10 guests is reserved online and needs no deposit.
Your request and our proposal
Send your request through the form on Private events or by e-mail. We reply within two working days (Monday to Friday) with a proposal: the room, the package, the price per person and the times.
Option: seven days
With the proposal we hold your date as an option for seven days. If we do not hear from you within that time, the date is released again. If another request comes in for the same date, we let you know, so you can decide first.
Confirmation
Your booking is definite when you confirm the proposal by e-mail and we have confirmed it back. From then on the proposal and these terms apply.
Final numbers
Let us know the final number of guests at least five working days before the date. We prepare and invoice for that number. More guests on the day? We do our best to fit them in and charge them at the same rate.
Cancelling and reducing
You can cancel free of charge until 14 days before the date. What applies after that, for cancelling or for a lower number of guests, is stated in your proposal.
Deposit and minimum spend
We do not ask a deposit for a table reservation. Whether an event needs a deposit is stated in the proposal. Exclusive hire of the whole house comes with a minimum spend that we quote per date.
Prices and payment
Prices on this site are in euro and include VAT. You pay on the day, or by invoice when you book for a company; prices excluding VAT are available on request.
Allergies and dietary wishes
Tell us about allergies and dietary wishes when you pass on your final numbers, and we take care of them.
The house rules
The Uniforme Voorwaarden Horeca (UVH) of Koninklijke Horeca Nederland apply to every booking and event; you can read them at khn.nl/uvh. This page explains in plain language how we work; your proposal states the exact terms for your date.
We serve alcohol to guests of 18 and over (NIX18).
